Short excursions to hidden lakes and exhilarating cycling descent from one of the highest passes will ensure you're fully prepared to embrace the challenges of trekking in Ladakh.

Trek Overview.
This three-day, two-night trek offers a moderate-level introduction to high-altitude climbing, perfect for beginners. With a gradual ascent, it provides ample opportunity to immerse yourself in the stunning scenery at your own pace. Beginning at 3600 meters, the trek culminates at the highest point, Matho La, at 5000 meters on the second day, offering a fulfilling challenge and breathtaking views along the way.

01

Arrive in Leh
Drive distance: 8 kms; Time: 20 mins
Land in the morning. Lunch at Leh town then rest at hotel or drive straight to hotel for lunch and rest till evening. From the comfort of your room, soak in the magnificent vistas of snow-capped peaks that stretch before you. It is important to not exert yourself on the first day in Leh hence in the evening we will gather for a breathing and meditation session in the outdoors.

Leh To Sumur, Nubra Valley, via Khardung La.
Drive distance: 122 kms; Time: 4 – 5 hours
The Nubra Valley, nestled at a lower altitude, provides an ideal environment for acclimatization and exploring a distinct facet of Ladakh. Depart for Nubra at 8:30 am after breakfast, traversing Khardung La. Enroute to Sumur, we'll visit Disket Monastery in Hundar, Arrive at the hotel by 4:00 pm. Those seeking more rest can head directly to the hotel in Sumur for an afternoon respite. Come together later for a delightful sundowner amidst the captivating Sumur Dunes.

Nubra Valley to Leh via Wari LA
Drive distance: 85 kms; Time: 4 – 5 hours, Cycle Distance 40 Km, Time 2.5 hours
Embark on a short trek to the secluded sacred Lake. Departing at 6:30 am, today's trek will provide for a valuable opportunity to tune into your trekking rhythm.
Return to the hotel by 10:00 for a delightful breakfast picnic beside. At noon, prepare to depart for Wari La, reaching the pass by 3:00 pm. Enjoy a snack atop Wari La before embarking on a thrilling 40 km downhill cycle ride to Karu.
For those who do not want to cycle, there are other adventure activities that you can partake in. Arrive at the hotel by 6:00 pm for an early dinner and a restful night's sleep, ensuring you're rejuvenated for the trek ahead.

Trek Day 1 - Stok [ 3,604m] to Manakarmo. [ 4,380m ]
Trekking distance: 9 kms – 6-7 Hours
The trek starts from Stok village, following the trail as it enters an amazing gorge. The walk is a gradual uphill along the river till we reach Changma, crossing streams a few times.
The trek further opens up to a beautiful valley that is surrounded with multi-colored rocks as we reach our campsite on the river bed in Manakarmo. Late Lunch at the campsite.

Trek Day 2 – Manakarmo [ 4,380m ] to Gangpoche [ 4,428m ] via Matho La [ 4,845m ]
Trekking distance: 8 kms – 6 Hours
Today's journey leads us on a gradual ascent to Matho La [ 4845 m ], the pinnacle of our trek, where we're rewarded with awe-inspiring views of Stok Kangri. Descending gently thereafter, we approach Gang Poche, a serene summer grazing ground for shepherds from Matho Village, situated downstream from the glaciers.

Trek Day 3 - Gang Poche [ 4,428m ] to Matho [ 3,526m ]
Trekking distance: 8 kms – 6 Hours
walk through a beautiful gorge to reach Matho village. Visit Matho Gompa on our way out Drive back to Leh Town.
Evening enjoy some free time for shopping in Leh Market and gather for the farewell dinner.

DAY

07

Depart for the Airport
Check out post breakfast and head to the Airport to catch your flight back home.
For those seeking to extend their journey by a day or two, we're excited to curate a whole new array of adventures and experiences.

Getting There

Leh Airport is well connected to most big cities with direct flight or more options Via Delhi. It is then a 20 mins drive to our Hotel in Saboo
